the capacitor from your very first posting also has three poles . One is represented at your defective capacitor by the housing witch is from metal. Since these Capacitors nowadays normally have plastic housings you need to connect the earth by a wire. Earth is allays the yellow / green wire.

I'm sorry to say that. You really need to know, what you are doing. From your Questions I assume You don't. Take the help from a friend in Your neighborhood. Or come over here and bring the Pedal too:)

At least show exaltedly what You have made in many pictures. I'm not as strict as some other safety fanatics here. But believe me, it's better to have an Expert at your side.

Nevertheless, sent pictures from anything you have made or of Your machines or Your workplace.

Hello! Belive or not we have around 10 degrees C here in Helsinki as well, few days ago we enjoyed a day as warm as last midsummer (yeap summer was cold...). Christmas will be also "black" (no snow) in southern Finland.

Yes I agree all what you said about electrics. I have tinkered some with motorcycles and cars and home interior renovations but never really got familiar with electrics. I am scared of household electric so it makes me careful and I may ask stupid questions just to make it 100% sure.

Hallo! Glauben Sie es oder nicht, wir haben rund 10 Grad C hier in Helsinki als auch, vor wenigen Tagen genossen wir einen Tag so warm wie im vergangenen Hochsommer (yeap Sommer war kalt...). Weihnachten wird auch "schwarz" (kein Schnee) in Südfinnland zu sein.

Ja, ich stimme alles, was Sie über die Elektrik. Ich habe einige mit Motorrädern und Autos und home interior Renovierungen gebastelt, aber nie wirklich mit Elektrik vertraut habe. Ich habe Angst für elektrische Haushalts so es macht mich vorsichtig und ich dumme Fragen zu stellen, nur um es zu 100% sicher zu machen.

Hello! This capasitor is from Pfaff 130 "Pfaff Minor" motor (Danish Allesch). There is some very high voltage markings, I wonder why?

die angaben in pF sind das wichtige
die voltangaben geben die kurzschluß-festigkeit an
das wird meistens über einen widerstand erreicht

the voltage-amount says somethin about stability, when short cut
there is mostly a built-in resistance

I remember the snow some years ago

Wir beide wohnen ja am Nieselrhein und können bei Schnee nicht wirklich mitreden.

Fahre seit November mit Winterreifen, habe sie noch nicht ein Mal wirklich gebraucht.

Das 'andere Deutschland' ist übrigens Helsinki
