plain clear sewing machine oil - sometimes called "Lily white" oil.
The 2 small screw studs (part # S838) are for attaching the bell crank lever and same stud goes to the thread regulator but there is just one here. The BCL is attached with 2 of them - forgot one on the BCL and other one is for the thread regulator???
The spring on the needle bar is a thread brake. It makes sure the thread is coming off the spool smooth. If the brake spring worn it would be that the thread jumps out of it path - especially at the small stud near the tension discs on top of the head.
it should the the stud that attaches the dial (Dünn-Mittel-Dick Thiny - #30135) to the "fork slider" (# 30132) that constrols the needle par on the tip of the arm - see red mark in picture
