Dear forumers,
For a year now I have been mainly interested in old patcher maschines firstly to be able to repair my own stuff and secondly to gain experience with a sewing machine in order to be able to sew my own ideas as well. along the way I hope to discover which mashine(s) I really need...Thanks to this forum I have already received solid info regarding old shoemaking machines but 'the virus' I got for free! Thanks for that...https://www.naehmaschinentechnik-forum. ... 3d9a55b557#
A few schoe patchers down the road I came across a crazy looking singer sewing mashine after a long search it turned out to be a buttonhole maschine.
I want to share a video of a singer 23-19 on this forum.
And have a few questions so i can understand more...
1. Witch needle systhem has this machine and best needle number? - What is the widest lateral movement of the needle? Best thiknes to work with? etc...maybe easier does anyone have an instruction manual of this model or similar?
2. The oval plate where one clamps the workpiece on (which automatically rotates the buttonhole while sewing) is no longer there.
Could technically the maschine still sew without this part? Would I be able to do freehand (decorative) stitching or even use it as reinforcement for a belt/webbing stich ?

If this one don't work's ( i can't open any picture) on this webside go to the origonal source; WWW.naaimachinemuseum.nl
There are more Knopfloch maschine @work and others.
