Man findet ja von Adler (fast) ohne Probleme Informationen, bei Singer ist die Info Lage schon etwas dünner. Beim suchen bin ich auf eine Liste von Unterklassen für die Singer 29K gestoßen. Dachte mir das könnte für den einen oder anderen ganz interessant sein. Ob sie vollständig ist weiß ich jedoch nciht aber man hat mal einen Anhalt:

Ich bin ja jetzt auch Besitzer einer 29K und frage mich was denn wohl der Unterschied zu den Modellen mit „gewachstem Faden“ bzw. oszillierendem horizontalen Transport sein soll?

Weiß jemand wie das technisch realisiert wurde bzw. was die Vorteile sind?

"For waxed thread" bedeutet nichts weiter als das vorhanden sein eine Wachs / Ölbehälters auf der Oberseite der Maschine und (eventuell) der 2. Fadenspannung. Die Teile können natürlich auch fehlen bzw. später nachgerüstet worden sein. Die Unterklasse gibt immer nur den Ist-Zustand der Maschine bei verlassen des Werkes an, was da evtl. später mal an der Maschine verändert wurde, dokumentiert natürlich niemand.

Moin, was ist eigentlich der Unterschied zwischen "end" und "side" wheel?
sorry falls das eine banale Frage sein sollte, wurde im www nicht ausreichend fündig

Sollte das nicht umgekehrt sein?
Ich vermute, dass es so richtig wäre: 29x3 Stoffe und 29x4 Leder. Natürlich kann ich mich auch täuschen.
Bin gerade nicht daheim, sonst könnte ich nachschauen.
